Betty J. Conner of age 77 of North Miami, passed away Friday, March 2, 2012 at Freeman Health System in Joplin, Missouri. She was born on May 30, 1934 in Phoenix, Arizona the daughter of Guy & Mable Bryant.
She was a founding member of the Trinity Worship Center in Baxter Springs, Kansas. She was united in marriage to James Conner who has preceded her in death.
She is also preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, Evelyn Smith and Ruth Harding and 1 brother, William Bryant.
She is survived by 2 sons, Jim Conner and his wife, Tammy of Miami, Oklahoma and Guy Fried of Pueblo, Colorado, 2 daughters, Sharon Claxton and her husband Larry of Jacksonville, Texas and Judy Connor of Ft. McMurray, Canada. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Christina Connor Gates and her husband, Martin of Commerce, Oklahoma, Scott Gardner and his wife Monica of Fairbanks, Alaska, Richard Fried and his wife, Sheena of Afton, Oklahoma and Savanna Fried of Cleveland, Ohio, 3 great-grandchildren, Nataliegh Fried, Hanna Fried and Tyler Fried, all of Afton, Oklahoma and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services Betty J. Connor were held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, March 5, 2012 at Trinity Worship Center in Baxter Springs, Kansas with Pastor Steve Fellers, officiating. Visitation was held Sunday evening from 6:00pm to 7:00pm at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Commerce. Interment will be held at GAR Cemetery in Miami.
