Ronald Joe "Ron" Vincent went Home to be with the Lord, Feb. 29, 2012, at St Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 74. He was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Oklahoma City to James Alvin Vincent and Lois (McCarty) Vincent Boyd.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fairland where he served in many positions Sunday School Director, Brotherhood Director, he was Ordained as Deacon Nov. 6, 1994. In his high school days he was Song Leader at Lone Star Baptist Church, as he loved to sing and gospel music.

He attended most of his schooling at Fairland as one of the "Owls", where he was active in all sports, All State Football player 1957.

Ron, was preceded in death of his parents, one brother James A Vincent, Jr, and step father Clinton Boyd. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Kay "Roulet" Vincent of the home, two sons, Terry Joe and wife Kelley, Jerry Lyle and wife Brenda all of Fairland, daughter Deborah Dawn and husband Marc Testerman of Ft. Smith, AR. Grand children, Tyler Joe Vincent, Fairland, Kelsey Judd and husband Jeff of Ft Wainwright, Alaska, Michael Testerman, Aaron Testerman and Lauren Testerman of Ft. Smith, Laura Vincent of Columbus, KS. David King and wife Kristin. Matt King and wife Shelly , Timothy King of Florida, Great Grand children, Aliesha, Ryan, Shawn, Justin, Gianna King of Florida, Chance Myers and Callystra Smith of Columbus, Ks. Sister in law Katherine Vincent, Afton, Kathy and Bobby Schroeder, Fairland, Jim and Linda Vincent, Miami, Sherri Newell of Denver, Co. two step brothers and wives, Larry and Ruth Boyd of Fairland, Raymond and Sandy Boyd, Neosho, Mo. Sister in law Wanda and husband Bob Johnston, Ponca City, OK, Jo Andrews, Jenks, Aunt Virginia Marchbank of Hood River, OR. And a host of cousins. Nieces, nephews and friends.

He worked a B.F. Goodrich for 29 years and nine months. He was currently employed at Peoria Ridge Golf Course. He loved being with family and friends, following grand children's sports, hunting, fishing, golf and sports. He had a host of friends, and loved ones that will miss him dearly.

Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, March 5, 2012, at the First Baptist Church in Fairland with Rev. Andy Krebs officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairland Cemetery under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami. The family will receive friends and relatives from 3-4 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Oklahoma. Online Condolences may be made at
