Goldie Ellen Edwards of Tulsa died Monday, Oct. 1, 2007, at Village Nursing Home in Broken Arrow. She was 93.
Mrs. Edwards was born Oct. 4, 1913, in Iberia, Miller County, Mo., to Charlie Andrew and Fannie Ellen (Keeth) Carroll. She moved to Miami with her family when she was 3. She attended Miami schools.
She was a homemaker and a member of Garnett Church of Christ in Tulsa.
She married Roy L. Edwards on March 16, 1934, in Miami. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1982.
She was also preceded in death by one son, Ronnie R. Edwards, on Nov. 2, 2005; four brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include one sister, Grace Garoutte of Miami; three grandchildren, Brenda Duensing and Sharon Smith, both of Tulsa, and Randy Edwards of Bixby, eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Miami Church of Christ. Minister Bobby Key will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, east of Miami.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami.
Memorials are suggested to the donor's favorite charity.
