Mike A. Stepp of Miami died Friday, Dec. 28, 2007, after a short illness. He was 91.

Mr. Stepp was born June 7, 1916, near Commerce to Bill and Nora Stepp. He lived most of his life in Ottawa County.

He was a miner and a factory worker. He was of the Assembly of God faith.

He was married to Matilda Bell (Hammond) Step. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two sons, Jackie Stepp and Bill Stepp.

Survivors include two sons, Harold Stepp of Fairland and Don Stepp of Berryville, Ark.; five daughters, Carol Teehee of Locust Grove, Norma Harry and Doris Gillis, both of Joplin, Mo., Joann Kelmer of Quapaw and Sandy Hemphill of Fort Gibson, 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. today at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. The Rev. Don Staggs will officiate. Burial will be in Williams Timber Hill Cemetery, west of Miami.

Pallbearers will be Larry Williams, Joseph Williams, Marion Teehee, Mike Anderson, Joe Pendleton, Roy Collins and Joe Hemphill.
