Nancy Carol Bond of Miami died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at home after an illness. She was 95.
Mrs. Bond was born Dec. 28, 1912, in Beattyville, Ky., to Thomas and Cynthia (Carroll) French. She moved to Miami, from Fairland, in the early 1970s.
She was a homemaker and was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami.
She married Lon H. Bond on March 7, 1931, in Fairland. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include four sons and their wives, Corbie Bond of Miami, Lon and Virginia Bond of Tuscaloosa, Ala., Tom and Clydene Bond of Miami, and Kenneth and Tommie Bond of Tulsa; one daughter and her husband, Betty Lou and James Akers of Madison, Kan.; one brother, Curt French of San Diego, Calif.; one sister, Ila Bond of Brookings, Ore., 16 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church in Miami. The Rev. Jarrod James and the Rev. James Akers will officiate. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
