Mary Lou Estes of Miami died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007, at the Integris Baptist Hospital in Miami. She was 71.

Mrs. Estes was born March 10, 1936, in Middle Town, Ohio, to Manuel and Retha (Parks) Blaylock. She married George Estes on Nov. 17, 1956, in Adair. He preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 1989.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Mark Kelly.

Mrs. Estes had worked as a dietician at the Autumn Nursing Home in Vinita and at the Rocmond Boys Home in Miami.

She enjoyed knitting and quilting.

Survivors include a daughter, Sheila Vanatta of Joplin, Mo.; a son, George Estes II of Vinita; a sister, Lodema Mahurin of Claremore; a brother, Delmer Blaylock of Miami and four grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Michael Estes, Jess Estes, Lisa Robinson, David Robinson, Trey Estes and Brett Kelly. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Robertson and Kenneth Durbin.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita. Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home in Vinita.
