Robert C. ‘Bob’ Prater
Robert C. ‘Bob’ Prater of Wyandotte died Thursday, Dec. 4, 2008, at his home. He was 82.
Mr. Prater was born June 13,1926, in rural Seneca, Mo., to Kenneth and Jewell “Mhoon” Prater. He lived in the area all of his life.
He was a dairyman and a cattleman. He retired from the Milnot Company in Seneca and was a member of the Seneca Cemetery board for 30 years. He was an elder with the Hottel Springs Church of Christ where he had attended all of his life.
He married Helen Graham on Dec. 7, 1944, in Miami. She survives.
Additional survivors include one son and his wife, Larry and Marcia Prater of Wyandotte; two daughters and their husbands, Janie and Richard Ball of Grove and Rennah and Leon Robinson of Claremore; 10 grandchildren, Angela Fiechtl, Shari Probert, Susan Neal, Delinda Vaughn, Kenne Prater, Kris Robinson, Kurt Robinson, Lacey Prater, Ambry Prater and Koby Prater, and 15 great-grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Hottel Springs Church of Christ. Lawrence Sanders and Troy Risley will officiate. Burial will be in Seneca Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kris Robinson, Kurt Robinson, Kenne Prater, Koby Prater, Mark Vaughn and Brad Neal. Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Compton, Leon Robinson, Richard Ball, Kendall Hunt and Roger Hunt.
Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca.
Memorials are suggested to Neosho Christian School or Hope Harbor in care of the funeral home.
