Joyce Marena Farrar of Tulsa died Friday, Feb. 20, 2009. She was 62.

Mrs. Farrar was born Dec. 15, 1946, in Picher to Charlie and Mildred (Lane) Herd.

She married Robert Farrar on Sept. 19, 1979, in Tulsa. He survives, of the home.

Survivors include three sons, Denny Hardin of Coweta, Scott Farrar of Tulsa and Joshua Farrar of Skiatook; two daughters, Cynthia Archibald of Branson, Mo., and Dana Denton of Modesto, Calif.; her mother, of Miami; three brothers, Gerald Herd of Wagoner, Charles “Junior” Herd of Broken Arrow and Ronnie Herd of Commerce; three sisters, Faye Pettit of Commerce; Judy Battenfield of Miami and Jeanette Boyd of Fairland; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie; and three brothers, Paul, Bobby and Raymond.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday in First Freewill Baptist Church in Collinsville. The Rev. Herman Wood will officiate. Burial will be 3 p.m. Wednesday in Floral Haven Cemetery in Broken Arrow.
