Casey S. Owens of Broken Arrow, Okla., formerly of Miami, Okla., died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, in Austin, Texas. He was 35.
Casey was born Feb. 11, 1973, in Joplin, Mo., to Dale and Dianne (Crawford) Owens. He lived in Broken Arrow for the past year, moving from Pryor, Okla. He attended Miami Public Schools and played on the Miami State Champion Soccer Team. He graduated from Norman High School and from Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College and Rogers State University with a degree in computer programming.
Casey worked for the Hilti Corporation as a computer programmer. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

Survivors include his father, Dale Owens and wife Carol of Miami, Okla.; his mother, Dianne Collins and husband Hal of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one brother, Christopher P. Owens of Oklahoma City, Okla.; his grandmother, Cherry Owens of Miami, Okla.; his uncles, Paul, Steve, Tinker, Larry and Jimbo Owens; his aunts, Della Miller and Patsy Hoover; his fiancee, Terry Walker and her son Braden of Broken Arrow, Okla., and numerous cousins and loved ones.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Oct. 9, 2008, at 2 p.m. at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Miami, Okla. Pastor Conrad Oehlert will officiate. Pallbearers will be Mike Owens, Johnathon Owens, Tony Owens, Bordie Owens, Jerry Owens, Paul Owens, Steve Owens, Tinker Owens, Larry Owens and Jimbo Owens.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami, Okla.
A “Celebration of Life” will be held Saturday, Oct. 11, from 1 to 3 p.m. at the home of Hal and Dianne Collins, 5018 S. 164th E. Ave. in Tulsa.
