Ronald Eugene Chambers of Miami, Okla. passed away Thursday August 16, 2012 at his home. He was 73.

Mr. Chambers was born June 3, 1939 in Big Cabin, Okla. to Luther R.H. and Orpha Mae (Carnes) Chambers. He had lived in the Miami / Fairland area all his life. He served in the Army Reserves and National Guard and had worked at B.F. Goodrich as a tire builder and at Playland Lanes in Miami as a maintenance man for many years. He was an avid bowler and a member of the United States Bowling Congress. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Miami, Okla.

He was preceded in death by his parents, step mother Bertie Chambers, brother Clark Chambers and a step sister Geneva Lance.

He married Drue Cherle (Losey) Chambers on October 4, 1959 in Miami, Okla. and she survives of the home.

Additional Survivors include two sons and their wives, Scott and Cindy Chambers of Miami, Okla. and Todd and Tina Chambers of Grand Lake, Okla.; two daughters and their husbands, Terri and Buddy Moore of Perkins, Okla. and Ronda and Chris Osborn of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers and their wives, James and Sharon Chambers of Tulsa, Okla. and Phillip and Patricia Chambers of Corning, Calif.; two sisters, Barbara Porter of Dallas, Texas and Beth Griswold of Langely, Okla.; five grandchildren that Ron cherished and followed all of them in school activities, Nathan, Anthony, Curtis , Kayla, and Preston.

Funeral Services will be Monday August 20, 2012 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Miami, Okla. Pastor Leon Weece will officiate.
