Kay Marie Fain of Miami died Monday, May 25, 2009, at her home.
Mrs. Fain was born Dec. 22, 1947, in Springfield, Mo., to Clarence and Vernie (King) Miller. She lived in Miami for the last 17 years.
She was a homemaker.
She marriedMelvin Fain Sr. on Jan. 12, 1964, in Tucson, Ariz. He preceded her in death on Sept. 5, 2008.
She was also preceded in death by one son, James Fain, and her parents.
Survivors include one son and his wife, Melvin and Allison Fain Jr. of Miami; three daughters and their husbands, Starlett and Alfred Bailey and Gina and Nelson Young, all of Miami, and Bobbie and Billie Mullins of Yuma, Ariz.; two brothers, Steve Miller of Miami and Burt Miller of Minnesota; three sisters, Ruth Joles of White Castle, Ind., Bobbie Joles of Wis Dells, Wis., and JoAnn Joles of Texarkana, Ark., and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Robert Fain will officiating.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami.
