Gerald K. Fish of Miami died Monday, Feb. 16, 2009, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami after an illness.
He was 88.
Mr. Fish was born July 12, 1920, in Altoona, Kan., to George K. and Leonette A. (Meinhart) Fish. He attended Kansas State University. He lived in Miami for 25 years, moving from Forsyth, Mo.
He was a World War II veteran of the Navy.
He was an extension agent in Trego County, Kan., for 21 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Miami.
He married Florence Bassett on May 27, 1944. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Margaret K. and James Hodges of Lawrence, Kan., and Martha S. and Terry Pahis of Garden City, Kan.; one sister, harriet Vaghn of Fredonia, Kan.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Greenlawn Cemetery in Pratt, Kan. The Rev. Kathy Leithner will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
