Robert “Bob” Howard Kelly passed away Tuesday June 8, 2010 at his home. He was 63.

Mr. Kelly was born May 23, 1947, in Joplin, Mo., to Basil and Juanita (Carpenter) Kelly. He graduated from Joplin High School and served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He had lived in Miami over 30 years, moving from Joplin, Mo. He had worked for B.F. Goodrich in Miami and had also worked as a truck driver for Xpedx Trucking in of Joplin, Mo.

Mr. Kelly was preceded in death by a daughter Eileen Kelly in November of 2008.

He married Karen Elizabeth Booth, she survives of the home.

Additional survivors include one son Joseph Kelly and wife Emily of Joplin, Mo., two stepsons, Brad Walker and wife Terri of Miami and Bryan Walker and wife Kelly of Welch; one brother James Kelly of Tulsa; seven grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday June 11, at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Pastor Gary Reed will officiate. Interment will be in Williams’ Coal Creek Cemetery S.W. of Miami. Military Rites will be conducted by American Legion Post No. 147 Funeral Detail. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the family home.
