Wanda Kay Panks of Joplin, Mo., died Sunday, June 17, 2007, at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin. She was 62.

Ms. Panks was born July 30, 1944, in Tucumcari, N.M., to John and Ann (Burnam) Roper.

She was a homemaker. She was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Joyce Lynn Alonso of Eldorado, Kan., and Alice Kruger of Joplin; three brothers, John Roper of Picher, Buster Roper of Kansas City, Mo., and Jack Roper of Olathe, Kan., and three sisters, Rebecca Sharbutt of Leon, Kan., Beulah Roper of Eldorado and Cindy Roper of Olathe.

She was preceded in death by her parents; twin infant siblings; one sister, Phyllis Hails, and one half brother, Home McCormick.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher.
