Janice D. Anderson of Miami, Okla., passed away Monday, June 30, 2008, in Miami, Okla., after an illness. She was 63.
Janice was born May 9, 1945, in Commerce to Warren and Mae (Crosby) Brown. She lived in the Miami, Okla., area all of her life. She was a clerical aid with the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. She attended the Heart of Worship Church in Miami. She had served as a foster parent for many years.
She married Leroy Anderson on May 25, 1963, in Miami, Okla. He survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include her mother, Mae Brown; four sons, Brian and Vickie Anderson of League City, Texas; Keith Anderson of Nashville, Tenn., Jason and Stephanie Anderson of Miami, Okla., and Bobby and Heather Thomas of Atica, Kan.; one daughter, Stefanie Hacker of Norman, Okla.; three grandchildren, Lauren, Skyler and Luci; one brother, Ron Brown of Miami, Okla.; two sisters, Kathy Brown of Belton, Mo., and Terri Catt of Atica, Kan., and a number of foster children.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 3, 2008, at the Apostolic Assembly Church of Miami, Okla., at 10 a.m. Pastor Dennis Lewis will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008, at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami, Okla.
Interment will be in the Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, east of Miami.
