Mrs. Edythe Marie White died Friday, Oct. 17, 2008, in Miami. She was 83.
Mrs. White was born June 20, 1925, in Leavenworth, Kan. to Edward and Hazel List.
On April 9, 1947, she married Stephen White in Leavenworth. They resided in Mojave, Calif., for more than 55 years. They moved to Miami in 2002 to be near to family.
She was a registered nurse and the director of nursing at Tehachapi General Hospital. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved to read, crochet and work crossword puzzles.
Mrs. White is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephanie Stepp of Miami; a sister, Patricia Flanders of Pittsburg, Kan.; three grandchildren, Monika, Stephen and Sarah and four great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Keaton, Taylor and Tylor.
Funeral Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church with Father Carl Kerkemeyer officiating. Family will be receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday with a Rosary following at 8 pm at the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will follow the service at G.A.R Cemetery.
