Theodore “Ted” Houston Freeman of Picher, Okla., died Sunday May 24, 2009, at his home. He was 48.
Mr. Freeman was born Aug. 11, 1960, in Miami, Okla., to Wilbert and Ethel (McMommon) Freeman. He lived in Picher all his life and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Picher, Okla.
He was a heavy equipment operator for Entact.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, John Hayden Freeman, Robert E. Freeman, Rodney Joe Freeman and Theodore Freeman, and and sister Bertha Ann Hill.
He married Linda Reed on Feb. 9, 1990, in Miami, Okla., and she survives, of the home.

2 sons, Rodney Joseph and wife Rachel Ann Freeman of Miami, Okla., and Dale Fann of Bourbon, Mo.; two daughters, Michelle Saqeb of Bourbon, Mo., and Sheila Gawer Savannah, Mo.; four brothers, Sam Freeman of Grove, Okla., David Freeman of Pottsville, Ark., Charles Freeman of Baxter Springs, Kan., and Johnny Jason Freeman of Joplin, Mo.; two sisters, Barbara Rainey of Bernice, Okla., and Sue Nash of Columbus, Kan.; father figure, Fred Cobb, and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 28, 2009, at 10 a.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher, Okla. The Rev. Christy Bauer will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Gene Allen Snow, Danny Snow, Josh Freeman, Jimmy Long, Casey Freeman and Rick Crockett. Honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Perryman, Fred Cobb and Steve Meador.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher, Okla. Services are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Picher, Okla.
