Bland K. Hesse III of Miami died Wednesday, May 2, 2007, at his home. He was 66.
Hesse was born Nov. 7, 1941, in Oak Hill, Va., to Bland Kemps and Dorothy (Knerr) Hesse. He lived in Miami for 23 years, moving from Colorado Springs, Colo.
He was retired from the Air Force after 20 years as an avionics technician. He was of the Presbyterian faith.
He married Nancy Heald in July, 1963, in Macon, Ga. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include four sons, Mark Logan Henne of Denver, Colo., and Steven R. Hesse, David A. Hesse and Patrick J. Hesse, all of Miami; one daughter, Tina L. Hesse of Miami; two brothers, Herbert K. Gavin of Fort Myers, Fla., and Rick D. Hesse of Fayetteville, W.V.; one sister, Martha Parrish of Oak Hill, W.V., two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the home of Tina Hesse, 317 J St. NW in Miami.
