Oran Edgar Need of Miami died Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2009, at his home after an illness. He was 93.
Mr. Need was born Aug. 20, 1915, in Atlanta, Kan., to Joseph Edward and Ruth (Haaga) Need. He lived in Miami for many years.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army and Air Force, serving overseas.
He was a professor at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred (Russell) Need, of the home.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. The Rev. Bob Barker will officiate.
