Donald Leroy “Hook” Richardson of Cleora died Friday, May 25, 2007, at his home. He was 70.

Mr. Richardson was born Aug. 12, 1936, in Cardin to Lester and Mable (Fowler) Richardson. He graduated from Picher High School in 1954. He lived in the Cleora and Grand Lake area for the past 20 years, moving from Joplin, Mo.

He worked as a sales representative for Paramount Liquors in Joplin for several years. He was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Lori Nading and her husband Cliff of Chetopa, Kan., and Brenda Napier of Columbus, Kan.; one sister and her husband, Deloris and Eloy Montano of Farmington, N.M.; three brothers and their wives, Johnny and Pat Richardson of Tulsa, Tommy and Vicki Richardson of Cleora and Jimmy and Patsy Richardson of Oklahoma City, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Jerry Meyers.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.

Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Picher.

Memorials are suggested to the Cleora Volunteer Fire Department in care of the funeral home.
