Ransom Frank Dick died Sunday, April 29, 2007, at Integris Grove General Hospital. He was 88.

Dick was born Oct. 7, 1918, in Ottawa County to Frank William and Saphronia Lee (Mingo) Dick. He moved to Grove in 1987 from Juneau, Alaska.

He became a member of the Independent Baptist Church in Grove in 1989.

Survivors include his wife, Marianne, of the home; one son, Larry Dean Dick of Florence, S.C.; two sisters, Vera McGilbray of Broken Arrow and Joy Philbeck of Tulsa; one brother and his wife, Richard and Peggy Dick of Fort Washington, Md.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Independent Baptist Church in Grove with pastor Marty Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Council House Cemetery in Wyandotte.

The Grove Veterans' Ritual Team will participate in the graveside service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
