Max Austin Morgan of Shawnee died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at the Norman VA Center. He was 78.
Mr. Morgan was born May 27, 1931 in Borger, Texas, to Jesse and Irene Morgan. He graduated from Dale High School in 1951, graduated from Murray State College and continued at OBU.
He is a Korean War veteran of the Army.
He worked as a glazier for more than 40 years installing glass in many Oklahoma City buildings including the Murrah Building. He also farmed for many years north of Shawnee. He was a member of Northridge Church of Christ.
He married Winona Harris on July 22, 1956. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include five children and their spouses, Janita and Tim Luddeke, Maxanne and Troy Kline, Greg and Candy Morgan, Cheryl and Larry Richardson and Jonathan and Crystal Morgan; one brother, Robert Morgan; two sisters, Marilyn Taylor and Joann Dudley; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Roger Morgan.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Northridge Church of Christ.
