Barbara Searl died Saturday, Aug. 25, 2007, in Joplin, Mo., after an illness.
She was 55.
Mrs. Searl was born Jan. 24, 1952, to Jesse and Melba (Riley) Crites in Picher.
She lived in the area most of her life.
She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband of 34 years, John Searl, of the home; two daughters, Kimberly Dixon of Cardin and Kara Snow and her husband Gene of Chetopa, Kan.; her mother, Jeanie Washburn of Cardin; one brother, Andy Crites of Miami; four sisters, Peggy Dollison of Cardin, Susan Crites of Kansas, Terri Blackburn of Miami and Beverly Stumler of North Carolina; six grandchildren, J.B. Taber, Haylee Taber, James Snow, Mark Snow and Rachel and Craig Brooks, and one great-grandchild, Emily Brooks.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jesse Crites; three siblings, Mike and Willie Crites and Janice Howell, and one great-grandson, Aidan Brooks.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Pastor Charles Clevenger will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Andy Crites, Gene Snow, Danny Snow, Stacey Snow, George Blackburn and Charlie Taylor.
Honorary pallbearers will be J.B. Taber, James Snow and Mark Snow.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Picher.
