Pat Smith died Monday, Oct. 29, 2007. She was 70.
Mrs. Smith was born July 28, 1927, in Afton to Percy Wade Boyd and Pauline (Gogue) Boyd. She graduated from Miami High School in 1945, attended Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Midwestern University, Hardin College, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and received a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma in Chickasha in 1978.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, Bill Smith of Chickasha; two daughters and their husbands, Kae and Larry Ray of Carthage, Mo., and Jan and John King of Odessa, Mo.; one sister and her husband, Carolyn and Lee Alan Leslie of Midwest City; four grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Erik Theis of Webb City, Mo., Jay and Jessica Moore of Chickasha, chandy and Jeff Davidson of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Anise Thomas of Odessa, and 10 great-grandchildren, Justin Johnson, Jakob Stratton and Adam Theis of Webb City, Jessica Moore of Fredericksburg, Va., and Colton, Chase, Cameron, Colby, Chloe and Camille of Lee's Summit.
The celebration of life will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Ferguson Funeral Home in Chickasha. Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
