Jimmie Dale Fairres of Miami died Wednesday, July 18, 2007, at his home. He was 65.
Mr. Fairres was born April 6, 1942, to James Oliver and Mildred (Dickson) Fairres. He was a 1961 graduate of Miami High School. He moved back to Miami in 2002 from Kansas City.
He was a veteran of the Army.
He worked as a test chemist for Patco Products in Kansas City for 28 years before retiring. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Miami and worked with the bus ministry.
Survivors include his mother, of Miami; two brothers, Roger Fairres and John Fairres, both of Miami; one sister, Shirley George of Columbus, Kan.; two nephews, Jamie Fairres and Shawn Fairres, both of Miami, and one niece, Joanna Dynes of New Zealand.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Miami with the Rev. Phil McGechie officiating.
Military rites will be conducted by the Missouri National Guard Funeral Honors Team of Joplin, Mo.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Men's Bible Class of First Assembly of God Church.
