Dale Sisney of Bernice died Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo., after an illness. He was 70.
Mr. Sisney was born Nov. 21, 1938, at Oakland, Ark., to Guy and Myrtle (Fox) Sisney. He moved to Bernice in 1994, coming from Kansas City, Mo.
He was self-employed as a certified tree surgeon.
Survivors include his wife, Delma Bream, of the home; two sons, Kenneth Mattingly, of the home, and Billy Dale Clark of Arkansas; five daughters, Delores Jones and Penny Wilson, both of Grove, Pat Wethey of Afton, Kay Tatum of Missouri, and Jeanne Teague and husband, Charles of Republic, Mo.; two sisters, Juanita Freeman of Lee’s Summit, Mo., and Gerry Queary of Mount Home, Ark., several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Freddy Sisney, and two sisters, Joyce Jenkins and Wilma Hougan.
A private burial will be at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Adcock Funeral Home in Afton.
