Frances Holderman Miller of Miami died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2008, at Grand Lake Villa in Grove after a short illness. She was 92.

Ms. Miller was born Jan. 17, 1916, in Pryor. She moved from Chouteau to Miami. She received her teaching certificate from Northeastern State College in Tahlequah.

She taught high school English in Chouteau. In Miami, she taught eighth grade science until her retirement in the late 1970s. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Miami for many years.

She married J.C. Miller on May 13, 1939, at Claremore. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one grandson, Owen Matthew Hardy.

Survivors include one daughter and her husband, Dianne and Richard Hardy of Anderson, S.C.

Private services will be with the immediate family. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Pryor.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
