Lois Marie (Brodrick) Wyrick of Fairland, Okla., went home to be with Jesus Saturday, May 9, 2009, at her residence. She fought a very courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 73.

She was born Dec. 31, 1935, in Wyandotte, Okla., to Chester Henry and Dorothy May (Jones) Brodrick.

A 1955 graduate of Wyandotte High School, she worked at Oral Roberts Univesity in Tulsa, Okla., before marrying Hiriam Wiley Wyrick on June 6, 1956, in Wyandotte, Okla. They relocated to Fairland, Okla., in 1972. She was a homemaker and a faithful member of the Fairland Assembly of God Church for more than 35 years.

Lois enjoyed working in her vegetable and flower gardens, fishing and volunteering at her church. She loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hiriam; brothers, Frank and Allan “Bill” and Robert Brodrick, and sister, Alta Chafin.

Surivivors include sons, Charley and Pam Wyrick of Fairland, Okla., and David and Shiela Wyrick of Miami, Okla.; a daughter, Debbie Goins and Jon Sawyer of Council Grove, Kan.; grandchildren, Justin Goins and Laura Crippen, Michael and Wendy Wyrick, Randy and Crystal Wyrick, Ashley and Jeremiah Robinson, Miranda and Brad Jones, Aimee Wyrick and Chelsea Goins; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Chester and Patsy Brodrick, Clarence and Pam Brodrick, Edward and Linda Brodrick; twin sister, Louise Easley, and sisters, Ella Mae and Joe Simpson, Kathryn and Jack Crafton, Doretha and Michael Cook and Dorothy and Jim Crafton; sisters-in-law, Mariellen Brodrick, Treva Brodrick and Debbie Brodrick, several nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2009, at the Fairland Assembly of God Church with David Wyrick officiating. A visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009, at the church. Burial will be held at the Fairland Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fairland Assembly of God Church, in care of the funeral home.
