Ted Eugene Baer of Jay died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 2008, at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove. He was 60.

Mr. Baer was born July 20, 1948, in Laporte, Ind., to Roy and Evelyn (Thompson) Baer. After he graduated from Chisholm Trail Academy High School in Keene, Texas, he completed three years of college in Texas.

He was the owner and operator of Ted E. Baer Trucking and Maysville Lime. He was also manager of Ottawa County Farm Supply/Midwest Fertilizer in Maysville, Ark.

He married Patricia Louise Pearce on Sept. 5, 2004, in Jay. She survives, of the home.

Other survivors include five daughters, Rhonda Doss of Arcata, Calif., Realena Dawn Atwood, Julie Herod and Bridgett Ragsdale, all of Gentry, Ark., and Heidi Baer of Chicago, Ill.; one stepdaughter, Lynette Detwiler of Salinas, Calif.; his parents, of Gentry; one brother, Samuel Baer of Italy, Texas; one sister, Lucy Bradley of Italy, Texas, and five grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Jay. Dr. Rollin Bland will officiate.

Arrangements are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Jay.
