Billy G. Brown of Welch died at 10:48 a.m., Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007, at Miami Nursing Center. He was 84.

Mr. Brown was born Jan. 25, 1923 in Centralia to William H. and Cecile Schenk Brown. He was a graduate of Centralia High School.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He worked for B.F. Goodrich in Miami for more than 33 years before retiring.

He married Mary Reavis on Feb. 24, 1947. She preceded him in death.

He married Alice Julian on June 14, 1987. She survives.

He was also preceded in death by his parents and one daughter, Barbara Heister.

Additional survivors include one son, Mike Brown and his wife Dena of Welch; two daughters, MaryAnn Ingram and her husband Ted of Welch and Patricia Oliver and her husband Keith of Shawnee, Kan.; one stepson, Darrell Julian and his wife Susan of Bartlesville; one brother, Carl Brown of Tulsa; nine grandchildren; two step-granddaughters, and 21 great grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Ann's Catholic Church with the Rev. Gregg Elliott officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Gary Ingram, Brad Ingram, Billy Wade Brown, David Brown, Brandon Heister, J.R. Foster, Matt Marsh and Craig Eubanks. Burial will be in Welch City Cemetery.

A Rosary will be held today from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Thomas Funeral Home in Welch.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Association.
