Cauline (Oakley) King, resident of Afton, OK, passed away March 15, 2012 at Family Care Center in Fairland, OK, at the age of 88. She was born in Afton, OK, August 15, 1923 to John and Mabel (Pyte) Oakley. She graduated from Afton High School. She married Everette King on June 3, 1944. She worked in retail sales at the Buffalo Ranch and was caretaker for the Sixkiller Cemetery since the early 1980ís. Cauline was a member of the First United Methodist Church at Afton.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; six brothers; Lyle Oakley, Vernon Oakley, Charles Oakley, Leo Oakley, Nolan Oakley, and Bobby Oakley; four sisters: Pauline Harrison, Emalese Rider, Dayna Linn, and Cleo Oakley. She is survived by two sons; Eugene King and spouse Mary, of Afton, OK., and Sammy King of Afton, OK., two sisters; Rowena Countryman of Denver, CO., and Fern Overacre of Fairland, OK. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday March 17, 2012 at the Sixkiller Cemetery south of Afton with Rick Kyles officiating. Services are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home, Afton, OK.
