Louis Green Jr. of Miami died Friday, Jan. 29, 2010, at his home after an illness. He was 82.

Mr. Green was born April 12, 1927, in Vinita to Louis and Kathryn (Herrod) Green Sr. He lived in the Miami area most of his life.

He was a veteran of the Navy.

He worked for Home Furniture for many years and was a member of First United Methodist Church in Miami.

He was married Wanda Lee Green. She preceded him in death on June 17, 1995.

He was also preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include one son and his wife, David and Kathy Green of Glenpool; one daughter and her husband, Melissa and David Wilcox of Tulsa; one brother, Ted Green of Miami; one sister, Lois Erickson of Palo Alto, California; three grandchildren, Nicole Frazier, Jennifer Green and Christopher Green, and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church in Miami. The Rev. Kathy Leithner will officiate. Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. today at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.
