Betty F. Richardson, resident of Afton, died Sunday, May 27, 2012, at Grove Integris General Hospital. She was 77. She was born June 29, 1934, at Chadwick, Mo., to Nathan and Mary (Proctor) Lilly. She married Jack Richardson On June 4, 1952. He preceded her in 2001. She had worked in various factories, but her main occupation was that of meat wrapper in a butcher shop she and her husband owned. They moved to Afton in 1987 from Oldfield, Mo. She was a member of the Afton Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Barbara and Donnie McHaffie of Ozark, Mo. And Elaine and Michael McChurin of Afton, a brother Joseph and Garolyn Lilly of Sparta, Mo., three sisters, Lois Zatorski and Jessie Rossner, both of Springfield, Mo. And Doris Ward and husband, Holly, of Ramona, Okla., five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded by her husband, Jack, a brother, Dean Lilly, and a sister, Mary Ruth Trafficanti.

A visitation/memorial service will be from 6-8 p.m., Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the Adcock Funeral Home in Afton. A graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m., June 9, 2012, at Oldfield Cemetery, in Oldfield, Mo. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Hope Harbor Children’s Home of Claremore, Okla., in care of the funeral home. Services provided by Adcock Funeral Home of Afton.
