Leonard Rosco “Rossâ” Cohen of Picher died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008, in Joplin, Mo., after an illness. He was 78.
Mr. Cohen was born July 3, 1930, in Seneca, Mo., to John Howard and Helen Edna (Chambers) Cohen. He lived in the Picher area since 1973, moving from Washington State.
He worked as a fruit picker traveling from Washington State to Missouri.
He married Mary Ann Luther on June 22, 1987, in Washington. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include three brothers, Larry Testerman of Hopkinsville, Ky., Robert Testerman of Miami and Bill Testerman of Jones; two sisters, Bev Moser of Edmond and Shirley Skaggs of Seneca; one stepdaughter, Dorothy Bennett of Baxter Springs, Kan.; two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Baxter Springs, Kan., Cemetery.
