Clarence Lee Carnes of Wyandotte died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at Integris Grove General Hospital. He was 79.

Mr. Carnes was born Dec. 4, 1927, in Higgins, Texas, to Barney C. and Maggie Ola (Peters) Carnes. He lived in the Wyandotte area for more than 20 years.

He formerly owned and operate a dry wall company.

He married Mary Isabell Hudson on Jan. 15, 1944, in Mineral Wells, Texas. She preceded him in death on Nov. 16, 1983.

He was also preceded in death by one brother, Burney Carnes.

Survivors include four sons, Lonny Carnes of Shady Shores, Texas, Ronnie L. Carnes of Denver, Colo., Clarence “Lee” Carnes Jr. of Grove and Donnie C. Carnes of Seneca, Mo.; one daughter, Gloria DeLong of Rayburn Gap, Ga.; one brother, Clyde Carnes of Glenn Rose, Texas; one sister, Margot Dow of Mineral Wells, 22 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Seneca Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca.
