Patty Jean Jones of Nowata died Monday, July 30, 2007, at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville.
She was 70.
Mrs. Jones was born Aug. 16, 1934, in Vinita to V.C. “Dutch” and Thelma Amelia (Camp) Polson. She graduated from Welch Schools.
She was a member of Maybelle Baptist Church in Welch and was currently a member of First Baptist Church in Nowata. She worked for several years in nursing homes.
She married Wayman Arnold Jones Sr. on May 29, 1954, in Miami. He preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by six children, Wayman Jones Jr., Christina, Robert, Rodney, Bonnie and Sonja Jones; her parents, and one brother, Bob Polson.
Survivors include four daughters and their husbands, Saundra and Cecil Charties of Woodward, Janell Jones and Millie Weber of Springfield, Mo., and Cindy and Grady Kirby of Nowata; two sons and their wives, Randy and Danetta Jones of Nowata and Calvin and Tina Jones of Chetopa, Kan.; 15 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at His Life Church in Nowata. Burial will be in Welch Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Home of Nowata.
