Troy Allen Morton was born on Jan. 7, 1963, in Miami, Okla., to Joseph Allen Morton and Mary Morton Davis.
He passed from this life on Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, in Glencoe, Okla., having reached the age of 45 years and 7 months.
He married Tonya G. Krout on May 14, 1988, and they made their home in Glencoe.
He was affiliated with the United Methodist Church of Maramec and was a loving husband, son, brother and devoted uncle. He enjoyed hunting and watching movies.
Troy is survived by his wife, Tonya Morton of Glencoe, Okla.; mother and stepfather, Mary and Jerry Davis of Miami, Okla.; brother, Stephen Morton, Bartlesville, Okla.; stepbrothers, Johnny Davis and wife Barbara of Miami, Okla., and Wayne Davis and wife Lisa of Antwerp, Ohio; niece, Stephanie Christian Morton of Tulsa, Okla.; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dale and Carol Krout of Glencoe, Okla.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Andy and Cinda Krout, and nephew, Coleman Dale Krout of Wellston, Okla.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bobby and Marjorie Krout, and nephew, Shelby Dale of Ponca City, Okla.; nieces, Brittney Krout and Whitney King, and great-nephew, Trever Michael of Ponca City, Okla., plus a number of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
Troy was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Allen Morton; his grandfather, Ray Allen Morton, and grandparents, George and Lorene Nixon and Howard and Alice Krout, and one of his best buddies, Charles Copen.
Memorial services will be planned at a later date.
