LG Tunney Goza of Miami died Wednesday, July 16, 2008, at St. John's Medical Center in Tulsa after an illness. He was 80.
Mr. Goza was born Feb. 14, 1928, in Calera to Louie G. and Freeda B. (Turner) Goza. He lived in Miami since 1968, moving from Sand Springs.
He was a World War II veteran of the Army.
He owned and operated Goza Real Estate and Insurance for many years. He was a member of World Wide Fellowship, the National Association of Real Estate Appraisers, the Miami Chamber of Commerce and the American Legion.
He married Doris Etta Blackwell on Dec. 29, 1949, in Durant. She survives, of the home.
Additional survivors include three sons and their wives, Charles Wayne and Lee Anna Goza of Miami, Danny Joe and Janett Goza of Sand Springs and Philip Lee and Karen Goza of Broken Arrow; two daughters and their husbands, Loretta Joyce and Max Campbell of Fairland and Karla Denise and Dale Easter of Grove; two brothers, Glen Wesley Goza of Calera and Louie David Goza of Afton, 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harold Arnold Goza and Charles Edward Goza.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. George Peterson and Ron Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens in Miami.
Pallbearers will be Regan and Andy Campbell; Austin and Rocky Desilva; Ryan, Nick and Colton Goza, and Levi and Winson Easter.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
