Shirley Jean Chambers of Miami died Monday, July 9, 2007, at her home. She was 63.

Mrs. Chambers was born Dec. 10, 1943, to Quinton Robert and Faye Jane (Dihel) Orr in Mitchell, Ark. She lived in the Miami area for the past 15 years, moving from Marshfield, Mo.

She was a truck driver for MNX. She was an honorary member of the Sioux Nation. She was of the Catholic faith.

She was married to William Rex Chambers. He preceded her in death on May 7, 1999.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Sheri Langley.

Survivors include two daughters, Julie Apodaca of the home and Barbara Montorya of Lakewood, Colo.; two sons, Duce Apodaca of Brighton, Colo., and Duke Apodaca of Miami; her mother, of Miami, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami with the Rev. Bob Barker officiating. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
