Opal M. Gress passed away Monday June 7, 2010 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, Oklahoma. She was 85.

Mrs. Gress was born June 10, 1924 in Kechi, Kan. to Arthur Calvin and Rella May (Stelle) Mitchell. She had lived in Miami all her life. She was a head cook for Miami Public School for 21 years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Miami.

She married John H. Gress on June 13, 1942 at Long Assembly of God Church east of Miami, Mr. Gress preceded her in death on May 10, 2007 she was also preceded by her parents, 2 brothers John Franklin Mitchell and Charles Arthur Mitchell and a sister Mary Etta Bland.

Survivors include: two daughters,Joan and Husband Lloyd Ogle of Miami, Okla.; Sandra and Husband Charles Buxton of Broken Arrow, Okla.; one sister,Delphia Fletcher of Midland, Texas; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren

Funeral Services will be Thursday June 10, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Miami, Okla. Rev. Phil McGechie will officiate. Interment will be in G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, OK.

Pallbearers will be Grandsons and Great Grandsons, Jeff Ogle, Brad Buxton, Derek Fisher, Wes Buxton, Jared Ogle and Jacob Ogle.
