Shirley White of Afton died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at Flagstaff (Ariz.) Medical Center after a sudden illness. She was 72.

Mrs. White was born May 15, 1937, at Bay City, Mich., to Frank and Geraldine Swinson. She moved to Afton in 1980, coming from Michigan.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Miami.

She married John White on Dec. 26, 1980, in Afton. He survives, of the home.

Additional survivors include four sons and their wives, Don and Janet Drummond of Rye, Colo., Steve and Libby Drummond of Apopka, Fla., Johnny White and Kevin White, both of Afton; 10 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Adcock Funeral Home in Afton. Pastor John Moyer will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Don Drummond, Steve Drummond, Johnny White, Kevin White, Darreld Turner, and Johnny Turner.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Memorials are suggested to the Mount Hope Perpetual Care Fund.
