Bobbie A. Pooler of Miami died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2007, at Osborne Care and Rehab in Miami. He was 80.

Mr. Pooler was born May 8, 1927, in Miami to Robert and Elva (Munson) Pooler.

He worked as a mechanic at Steelcraft. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Miami and the American Legion Disabled American Veterans in Commerce.

Survivors include one son and his wife, Bobby and Carolyn Pooler of Afton; one brother, Mos Pooler of Sand Springs; one sister, Sarah Jane of Tulsa; two grandchildren, Jonathan Pooler and Sawyer Pooler; four step-grandchildren, Aaron, Melissa, Pricilla and Christina Conrad, and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Gene Pooler, and two sisters, Lorine Nixon and Paulie Webb.

He was cremated.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Ottawa Indian Baptist Church. His ashes will be buried in Ottawa Indian Cemetery, southeast of Miami.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami.
