Alvin Claus Peters of Miami died Sunday, July 27, 2008, at Osborn Care and Rehab Center in Miami. He was 86.
Mr. Peters was born Jan. 31, 1922, in Elk City to Carl C. and Pearl (Beashaw) Peters.
He had lived in Miami for 32 years, moving from California. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked for B.F. Goodrich where he retired in 1985.
He married Marie Peters. She preceded him in death in November 2000.
A brother and sister also preceded him in death.
Survivors include two sons, James peters of Bend, Ore., and Timothy Peters of Hesperia, Calif.; a daughter, Janice Peters of Crestline, Calif.; a brother, Kenneth Peters, 10 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at marshfield City Cemetery in Marshfield, Mo., with the Rev. Curtis Richardson officiating.
