Ann Vanatta-Hardwick died Sunday, Feb. 15, 2009, at Golden Valley Hospital in Clinton, MO., after a brief illness. She was 89. 

Mrs. Vanatta-Hardwick was born Jan. 28, 1920, in Chelsea to James and Anna (Macy) Fisher.  She was a former Miami resident. She moved to Clinton in June 2008.

She worked as a secretary at the Eagle-Picher Corp. She was a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Miami and the Miami Eastern Star.   

She married Walter Vanatta in 1944. 

After his death, she married Tom Hardwick, who also preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one grandson, Kelly Hill. 

Survivors include two daughters and their husbands, Phyllis and Ron Teal of Clinton and Rita and Luke McBee of Spring City, Pa.; one granddaughter, Heather Butary, and one great-grandchild, Kyle Hill. 

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami. Pastor Conrad Oehlert will officiate. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.
