Susan E. Fuss of Miami died Friday, July 20, 2007, at Osborn Care and Rehab in Miami. She was 99.

Mrs. Fuss was born Jan. 17, 1908, in Vinita to Tom and Carrie (Burnside) Palmer. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her family. She enjoyed bowling and flower gardening. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Miami, the Royal Neighbors and the Pythian Sisters.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, five brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include a son, Harold Shouse of Vinita; a daughter, Vela Trask of Dallas; two sisters, Jewell Gillespie and Pearl Wilson, both of Coffeyville, Kan.; three granddaughters, four great-granddaughters, one great-grandson and two great-great grandsons.

A funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami with the Rev. Eddie Wrinkle officiating. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be at the Edna Cemetery in Edna, Kan.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Services are under the direction of Jim Thomas of the Thomas Funeral Home in Welch.
