George Robert “Bob” Goff died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at his home in Windsor, Va. He was 65.
Mr. Goff was born Dec. 23, 1942, in Rawlins, Wyo., to Elman Columbus and Joyce Aretta (Smallfield) Goff. He lived in Wyoming for more than 50 years before moving to Gladstone, N.D. He moved to Virginia earlier this year.
He worked as an electrician for Amaco, in Powell, Wyo. After retiring, he volunteered as a foster grandparent at an elementary school in Gladstone.
He was active in ministry and enjoyed ministering to children. He spent several years as a Boy Scout leader and was elected Wyoming State president of Royal Ambassadors for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Marilyn, of the home; three daughters, Shelly Schultz and her husband Brian of Bartlett, Kan., Kristina Goff of Washington, D.C., and Katrina Goff of Windsor; one son, Robert Andrew Goff of Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren, Luke Wimberley of Bartlett, Nicholas Goff, James Robert Goff and Benjamin Goff, all of Denver, Kenya Wimberley of Chetopa, Kan., and Hailey Vaughn of Vinita, and two great-grandchildren, Sabrina and Caleb.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, his twin Richard Goff and Raymond Goff, and one sister, Suzie Ryan.
Services will be Saturday at Colonial Funeral Home, 1515 S. Church St., Smithfield, VA 23430.
