John Burleson of Wyandotte died Sunday, July 20, 2008, at his home after a long illness. He was 42.

Mr. Burleson was born Sept. 5, 1965, in Miami to Clyde and Shirley Burleson. He lived in the area all of his life.

He owned and operated a logging company.

He married Debra Hull on April 16, 2007, in Miami. She survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Brenton Burleson and Scott Burleson, both of Wyandotte; four daughters, Makayla Glover of Glenna, Kan., and Renda Hoover, Rebecca Hoover and ReNee Hoover, all of Wyandotte; his parents; two brothers, Troy Burleson of Little Rock, Ark., and Jason Burleson of Wyandotte; three sisters, Barbara Griffin of Diamond, Mo., Wandra Hembree of Neosho, Mo., and Lura Craig of Joplin, Mo., and three grandchildren.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

The body has been taken for cremation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home in Seneca, Mo.
