Roberta Kay Dunbar died Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at her home in Dawson Springs, Ky. She was 44.

Mrs. Dunbar was born Jan. 29, 1964, in Miami to Jimmie and Geneva Crabtree. She attended Quapaw Schools, graduating in 1982. She lived in the Quapaw area most of her life, moving to Kentucky a few years ago.

A homemaker, she wrote poems mostly about her life and family.

Survivors include her husband, William Ray Dunbar of Dawson Springs; one son, Bradley J. Summers of Dawson Springs; several stepchildren of Dawson Springs; three brothers, Leonard Reynolds and Jimmie Crabtree II, both of New Port Richie, Fla., and Mike Crabtree and wife Kelly of Miami; two sisters, Elizabeth Wood and husband Jerry of Miami and Rosia Flemming and husband Randy of Picher, and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Summers; her parents, and one sister, Cordia Braden.

Services were Oct. 9 at Lafayette Cemetery in Dawson Springs.

Memorial services were held Saturday in the home of Elizabeth Wood.
