Floyd William Becker of Goshen, Ind., died Monday, Jan. 18, 2010, at Courtyard Healthcare Center in Goshen. He was 82.

Mr. Becker was born Aug. 14, 1927, in Moundridge, Kan., to William T. and Elizabeth (Siebrandt) Becker.

He was a World War II veteran of the Army where he served in Hawaii.

He worked as a stone mason, but later went on to become plant manager at Kinder Manufacturing in Elkhart, Ind., where he worked for many years. He was also co-owner of Mastercraft of Shipshewana, Ind., which was a furniture manufacturing plant. After his retirement, he moved to Oklahoma where he took up stone masonry again and raised hogs on the family’s ranch.

He married Glenna A. Foster on April 24, 1949, in Newton, Kan. She survives, of the home.

Additional survivors are two sons, Michael K. Becker and his wife Cathy of Jacksonville, Fla., and Paul W. Becker of Tulsa; three daughters, Vicki L. Hanes of Elkhart and Connie and her husband Glenn Fuller and Julia Tackett, all of Norman; three brothers and their wives, Edgar and Donna Becker of Longmont, Colo., Burtrum Becker of Hutchinson, Kan., and Jim and Patti Becker of Estes Park, Colo.; three sisters, Violet Richert of McPherson, Kan., Sadie Moulds of Murphysboro, Ill., and Murla Dean Adwell of Lindsborg, Kan.; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
