Steven A. Copeland of Ketchum died Monday, June 25, 2007, at his home after a lengthy illness. He was 58.

Mr. Copeland was born April 29, 1949, in Leavenworth, Kan., to Larry and Brownie Copeland.

He was raised in Baxter Springs, Kan., and graduated from Baxter High School in 1967.

Mr. Copeland was a member of the Quapaw Tribe.

He attended Missouri Southern State College for two years before beginning a career as an auto mechanic.

He married Alice Brown in 1975. She survives, of the home.

Mr. Copeland is also survived by one daughter, Anna Lee, of the home.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Church on the Lake in Ketchum with pastor Geoff Buffalo officiating.
